Minutes of General Meeting held on July 24, 2003
President Jones called the twenty eighth annual meeting of
the International Association of Local Chapter Presidents to order at
11:01 A.M. Cliff Gilmore led the membership in the Pledge of
Allegiance. Shirley Halstead gave the invocation.
The past Presidents of the International Association of
Local Chapter Presidents were introduced.
The current officers of the International Association of
Local Chapter Presidents were introduced.

The minutes were read. It was moved by Joyce Kathman
and second by Bob Holden to accept the minutes as read. Motion
carried.
President Jones asked the current Local Chapter Presidents
to stand and introduce themselves. There were fourteen in
attendance.
The Treasurer reported a balance of $2,963.21 as of
6/26/03. The report will be filed for audit.
OLD BUSINESS
None
NEW BUSINESS
Lynn Herndon suggested that individual clubs could
consider paying the first year of dues for new Chapter Presidents.
The decision should be by the individual clubs. Dean Hecker
suggested that this information be put in the WIT magazine.
The Treasurer, Delno Spellman, asked if the membership
wanted to continue with decals as we have used our present supply.
Cost:
Quantity of 125 8" would cost $6.50 for each decal
Quantity of 125 3" would cost $5.60 for each decal
Quantity of 250 3" would cost $3.80 for each decal
There was a discussion by members concerning cost and use of decals.
A motion to dispense with decals was made by Robert Kathman. Motion
carried.
President Jones asked for the report of the nominating
committee. Members of the committee are Ron Sterrett, chair, Woody
Woods and Robert Kathman.
The nominees for President are: Cliff and Brigitte
Gilmore. Are there any nominations from the floor? A motion to
close the nominations was made by Bob Kathman, second by Joyce Kathman
that nominations be closed. Motion carried.
The nominees for Vice-President are: Bob and Kathy
Westbrook. Are there any nominations from the floor? A motion
to close the nomiations was made by Joyce Kathman and second by Tom
Emerson. Motion carried.
The nominees for Secretary are Delno and Helen Spellman.
Are there any nominations from the floor? A motion by Lynn Herndon
and second by Joan Taylor was made to close the nomination. Motion
carried.
The nominees for Treasurer are Delma and Vernon Magsamen.
Are there any nominations from the floor? A motion to close the
nomination was made by Joyce Kathman and second by Bob Kathman.
Motion carried.
The candidates were duly elected.
Dennis Burkholder, WIT General Manager, installed the
officers.
He thanked the volunteers for all the help. He
stated that there would not be a GNR without volunteers. He thanked
Charles Jones for saving him from big trouble on July 11th at the front
gate. He discussed what a great resource this group could be to
Local Club Presidents. He suggested an up to date roster (including
e-mail and telephone numbers) be sent to the WIT office.
The audit committee consisting of Bob Odem and John
Ruehter reported that they had audited the books and found them in first
class condition.
President Jones dismissed the nominating committee and the
auditing committee and thanked them for their work.
President Jones asked if there was any other business.
Joyce Kathman made a motion that we donate $100.00 to the
youth program. Second by Shirley Halstead. Motion carried.
President Jones asked if the membership wanted to continue
with the social next year. It usually is on Saturday preceding the
GNR and after the parade. Notice should be in the pre-rally
information.
President Jones asked if there was further business.
Joyce Kathman made a motion to adjourn.
Second. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 11:38 A.M.
