Minutes of General Meeting held on July 22, 2004
President Gilmore called the twenty ninth
annual meeting of the International Association or the Local Chapter
Presidents to order at 11:05AM. Carol Johnson gave the
invocation. Bob Westbrook led the membership in the Pledge of
Allegiance.
The Past Presidents of the International
Association of the Local Chapter Presidents were introduced. They
were Everett & Carol Johnson, Floyd Wall and Philip & Shirley
Halstead.
The current officers of the International
Association of the Local Chapter Presidents were introduced:
President
Cliff and Brigette Gilmore
Vice President Bob and Kathy Westbrook
Secretary
Delno and Helen Spellman
Treasurer
Delma and Vern Magsamen
Acting Dir.
Philip and Shirley Halstead
Our Director Charles and Phyllis Jones were in a bad accident last winter
and couldn't come.
The State President officers were introduced:

Andy and Jennie Beinvenue
Treasurer
Jim and Irene McCarty
The minutes were read. It was moved
to accept the minutes by Carol Johnson and seconded. Motion carried.
President Gilmore asked the current local
Chapter President to stand and introduce themselves. We had eleven
in attendance.
The Treasurer reported a balance of
$3,033.26 as of June 26, 2004. The report will be filed for audit.
OLD BUSINESS

NEW BUSINESS
Thank you letter from Genaze for the
$100 for the children.
President Gilmore asked for the
report of the nomination committee. Members of the committee
are Everett Johnson and Bob Cummings.
The nominees for President are Cliff and
Brigette Gilmore. Are there any nominations from the floor, was asked
three times? A motion to close the nominations was made by Bob
Kleinburg and seconded by Everett Johnson. Motion
Carried
The nominees for Vice President are Bob and
Kathy Westbrook. Are there any nominations from the floor, was asked
three times? A motion to close the nominations was made by Carol
Johnson and seconded. Motion
Carried
The nominees for Secretary are Delno and
Helen Spellman. Are there any nominations from
the floor, was asked three times? A motion to close the nominations
was made by Bob Odem and seconded by Shirley Halstead. Motion
Carried
The nominees for Treasurer are Delma and
Vernon Magsamen. Are there any nominations
from the floor, was asked three times? A motion to close the
nominations was made by Shirley Halstead and seconded by Bob Odem. Motion
Carried
Shirley Halstead made a motion that they
all be elected by acclamation. Seconded by Bob
Odem. Motion
Carried
The candidates were duly elected.
Dennis Burkholder, WIT General Manager,
installed the officers.
Dennis thanked the volunteers for all their
help. He stated there would no be a GNR without volunteers. He
said this had been a difficult rally, bigger coaches,
more slides and longer lengths. He looked forward seeing everyone
next year.
President Gilmore dismissed the nominating
committee and auditing committee and thanked them for their work.
President Gilmore asked if there was any
other business.
Shirley Halstead made a motion we donate
$100 to the youth programs. Seconded by Jerry Van Meter.
Motion carried.
There was a discussion on the social for
next year of whether to have finger food or pies.
Shirley Halstead made a motion to have the
social after the regular meeting next year instead of after the
parade. It was seconded by Tom Lawson. Then Carol Johnson made
a motion to let the board decide on a time and food. Carol Johnson
rescinded the motion due to the fact the previous motion by Shirley
Halstead was not acted upon. Shirley's motion was reread, voted on and
passed.
Everett Johnson made a motion to adjourn
and was seconded by Floyd Wall.
